12 Nov 2008 — Scientology Volunteer Ministers Amazon Goodwill Tour Arrives in Brazil

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour is pressing on, down the Amazon River. Traveling east from Leticia in Columbia and Santa Rosa in Peru, they have now crossed into Brazil, where they continue to bring Scientology technology to people along the shores of one of the most remote regions of Earth.

Arriving in the municipality of Benjamin Constant, the tour members met with local civic leaders and ministers to find out what the people of the region needed.

Arriving in the municipality of Benjamin Constant, the tour members met with local civic leaders and ministers to find out what the people of the region needed. The ministers invited them to set up their bright yellow tent right next to the evangelical church, where the grand opening ceremonies included the music and dancing of the region.

Finding that literacy is a big concern, they provided seminars in study technology to the local schools.

As with other Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tours, the Amazon team offers free courses, workshops and seminars. This training covers the various chapters of the Scientology Handbook, which is based on the work of Scientology Founder, L. Ron Hubbard. It is a testament to the universal nature of Mr. Hubbard's research that inhabitants of this isolated region of the Amazon find the courses and workshops as pertinent to their lives as do those who visit the Scientology Volunteer Ministers tents in Berlin, New York and Tokyo.
