21 Mar 2007 — New Scientology Mission "in Paradise"

Twenty-three miles off the coast of Venezuela lies Margarita Island, the "Pearl of the Caribbean." This island paradise, with its near-perfect climate, is now the home of the newest Scientology Mission in Venezuela.

Traditional dancers entertained the crowd at the grand opening of the Church of Scientology Mission of Margarita Island.

And on a winter's day, when blizzards were laying waste whole sections of the Northern United States and Canada, here on Isla Margarita the crowd relaxed; soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the music, dancing, and cheering the speakers who welcomed the Mission to its home.

The audience went wild when the Nueva Espart State Firemen Corps honored the Mission, recognizing L. Ron Hubbard and the Dianetics Cultural Association of Margarita Island, "for their valuable contribution to our institution and the community, with tools which provide personal help and improvement; and educational campaigns which increase awareness on human rights, ethics and moral values."

After the ribbon cutting ceremony the crown was invited to tour the facilities and learn about the services the Mission offers the community.

The ribbon was cut, symbolizing the official opening, and the Mission Director invited everyone to come in, tour the facilities, and take advantage of the services the Mission offers the community.
